Let's be consistent

Today you're reading this then probably you've subscribed to my channel because I'm not sending direct messages promoting my blogs anymore. I know at one point in time you all would get irritated if I continued doing that (maybe I would be on your block list then) so, I made the channel.

Now, talking about what I've written today is not specific at all. Even I don't know what to write when I'm left with an hour to finish this. Most of you must be wondering why am I doing this. The answer is pretty clear, I like to write out my thoughts. Even though managing to write something daily and posting it on time can become tedious, still I find it interesting. Moreover, I told you on the first day only that I'm going to do something daily at least for a year and this will take my consistency on a bigger level.

So, let's talk about consistency today. Consistency is compounding. You're doing something for an hour every day and at the end of the year, you've completed 365 hours doing that task. If you want to master anything, you should know the power of consistency and compounding. Let's say you want to participate in a ten kilometers marathon but you hardly manage to run a kilometer, start by running a kilometer for a week every day and you will see that now you can finish that distance easily. In the next week, start completing two kilometers every day. The same will happen at the end of the second week also. And in this way, you would be all set to run a ten kilometers marathon in ten weeks. This is the power of consistency and compounding. And by being consistent you can master anything (it's not only about running). Until 2019, I used to do 120 push-ups every day. I started with one and after four months I reached that level simply by doing one more than the previous day (of course, I'd quit workout last year, or I could've reached more). In this way, you can learn anything to perfection be it your studies, or a skill or anything. The thing is that one has to be committed towards consistency otherwise it would be of no use. But for most people nowadays, 'commitment' is all about maintaining a relationship with their partner and not really about any productive life goal. Only if they knew that working on self-growth and social service leads to a way much happier life than wasting time on cheap dopamine boosts which they get by talking flirtatiously with their partners.

Thank you for reading my blog. I didn't expect that I will complete this in less than an hour.

Have a great day!
