The 9 productive traits

After having an unproductive day yesterday, today I'm here with 9 things that only highly productive people do.

1. They focus on minutes, not hours

This is something that is very important. As we all know that time is something very important. Money once lost can be earned again but time once lost can never be achieved back. So, if you want to be a master of your time then start mastering every minute. Start focus on where you have to spend each minute rather than assigning hours to different tasks.

2. Thet focus on only one thing at a time

Are you the one who watches TV and eats food at the same time? Or the one who checks feed on the phone in between studying? I just want to say, are you the one who multitask and in the end fails to enjoy any of the things. Only if you start doing one thing at a time with complete focus on it, you would be more productive, satisfied, and happier in the end.

3. They don't use to-do lists

After knowing this, I realized why I get stressed at the end of the day even after doing a majority of the things on the to-do list. Well, if we fail to complete each and every task on the to-do list it leads to stress. No matter how many tasks you've completed, a single incomplete task on the list leads to stress which kills productivity for the next day.

4. They beat procrastination with time travel

It means you can make your future easier by doing certain things right now. I'm not talking about working hard in your field today to live an easier life in the future. Well, that's important too, but right now I'm talking about something else. Let's say you want to go jogging in the morning then keep your shoes near the bed at night so you can feel easy in the morning. Or, you have to go somewhere the next day, then prepare your bag a day before so you can feel easier on that day.

5. They say 'no' to almost everything

I've seen people who hesitate to say 'no' even if they are too busy doing something very important. If you want to be super productive then learn to say 'no'. Also, remember one thing always that "if it is not a 'hell yeah', then it's a 'no' ".

6. They follow the 80/20 rule

This rule states that for many outcomes roughly 80%  of consequences come from 20% of the causes. In short, 80% percent of the result comes from 20% of the input. For example, in a company, 80% percent of the sales come from 20% of the customers, so the salespersons focus on those 20% customers only. Similarly, it happens with most things. So, start focusing on the 20% and cut the unnecessary crap.

7. They delegate everything

Rather than asking "how can I do this task?", ask "how can this task get done?". Focus on the important task that you need to get done. So, never run away from problems, rather find a solution for them.

8. They touch things only once

If you got a mail to reply to or an application to submit or simply an assignment to complete then pick it up once and complete it rather than looking at it again and keeping it aside thinking you will do it later. If you deal with it now, it would save a lot of time which gets wasted in picking it up and keeping it aside again and again.

9. They practice a morning routine

A consistent morning routine leads to a highly productive day. Start your day with light exercise, a healthy breakfast, and a few minutes of meditation and practice these things on a daily basis. Also, utilize the initial morning hours in the most important tasks.

I hope these tips will help bring a positive change to your productivity.

Have a great day!
