Whom to be punished?
Once upon a time, according to a mythological tale, a king invited five monks for lunch. He arranged the lunch in his beautiful garden in a very pleasing way. The food was arranged in the garden before their arrival. At the same time, a bird was carrying an injured snake in his mouth to a safe place. As the bird passed over the king's garden the snake's venom dropped in the food. And it all happened so fast that no one even realized it. The monks arrived, food was served to them and they started eating. In few moments, all the monks died. The king got worried. Now, this case arrived at the god of justice, and the problem was whom to be punished for the monks' death. It was neither the king's fault nor the bird's. So, the case remained incomplete for a long time. One day, a monk was going to the same king's palace so he asked a lady about where the king's palace is. To this, the lady replied, "oh you're talking about the king who killed five monks some time back?". The lady's words were reported to the god of justice and the god decided that the lady should be punished and the case got closed.
This story never fails to teach us that we should never find fault in others. Only if we start examining ourselves rather than finding faults in others and backbiting about them, we can improve a lot.
That's all for today. Keep improving and stop finding faults in others.
Have a great day!
