 As a child, we all have dreamt to do something great. To become someone who seemed interesting to us. Like a pilot, an astronaut, or an actor. Then where did we lost that interest? As we grow up, we try to settle. But the question is why? Why do we want to settle so early and with so little? What was that which made us lose interest in those professions that seemed interesting to us as a child but now seems too challenging to be achieved? 

I know what exactly made us settle with less. It's the system and the society. We live in an independent nation but still, we are in the prison of the norms made by society. A system is being made which is not compulsory to be followed but still, people fear doing something different. They are following the system irrespective of their choice. 

We all go to school and that is something really important. Schooling is something that everyone should complete. But what happens to us after we complete schooling? Why are we choosing the same field the majority is choosing? Are we afraid of the awkwardness that we are doing something different? I remember one of my friends who used to talk about marine engineering and used to be interested in that. And when I got to know that he's pursuing engineering in IT, I was shocked. In 11th and 12th standard, we had computer science as a subject and he found it challenging. He passed the subject in the final exams with a lot of difficulties. And still, he chooses that thing only. I don't understand why? 

People are afraid of change these days. I see high school students asking about which field has the most scope so that they can pursue it. In my opinion, we should pursue what we like and scope will itself get created. 50 years from today, there was no internet. And 20 years from now, it was the beginning of the internet. At that time, only a few people stepped into that field because everyone was thinking that this is something that has no scope. Today, those few people are few of the richest and most successful people on this planet. Only if they feared and didn't step in it because there was no scope or nobody was going into that field, they couldn't be what they're today. And now people are following them and a large number of people are stepping into the IT industry. But now, it's of no use. 

The conclusion is, stop running in the crowd. Don't choose that occupation because everyone is choosing it or it looks like there's a lot of so-called scope in it. Do what you always wanted to do. Don't fear what people will think. And please stop getting influenced by the people around you. As I always say, if you listen to those ordinary people, you'll also end up one day being an average only. So, change the game, make that childhood dream come true.
