Life is a journey

We all have a unique life. For each of us, life is a book of which every individual is the protagonist. And every other person is a character who plays their part and makes an exit from the book. Also, there's hardly any character in the book who stays from the beginning to the end. Some characters who were there from the beginning exits somewhere in between the book. Some come for a chapter or two. And some comes in between and stays till the end. And the book ends when the story of life is over.

So, do you see that we all have an individual life in which nothing is permanent? And nobody is going to be there forever. Things happen. People come and leave. And life goes on. The day we were born, there were different people around us, and the day we die there will be different people around us. Hardly there would be anyone who would be there on both the day of birth and the day of death. Everything around us changes with time. And what remains constant throughout our life is us only. 

Think of it as a stage, like Shakespeare referred in his poem "The Seven Ages of Man". Life is a play, characters come, play their part, and goes. Events happen and change. And it all keeps on moving. This is a journey which we travel all alone. All the people and events we come through in life are just part of the journey. Sometimes, we get attached to them so much that we do not move further in life. Only if we stop in this journey just because we do not want to lose something we have come through, how can we move ahead? That is why it is said, if we want to achieve something, we have to lose something. Keep on moving in life, maybe you've come through something which you do not want to lose, but still, you have to move ahead. Who knows in the further journey you come across something more beautiful. Everything you come across in this journey stays for a limited time. Sometimes, that time is too short, and sometimes that time could be forever. People we come across in this journey are also travelers of this journey called life. But it is not necessary that they will be there forever. One day or another we have to part ways because not everyone is on the same path. And if someone is traveling the same path then they will stay forever in this journey.
