The moon landings
Space-related stuff fascinates me a lot. And for some days I'm way too much excited about it. Do you know when was the last moon landing happened? Well, it was 50 years back. After that, no one had been sent to the moon. Now, NASA is all set to send a next-generation to the moon in 2024. It would be going to be amazing. Now, here's something I always wonder about and it is, why there have been no moon landings for 50 years? Well, there are many theories about it made by different people. I am not going to discuss them.
Now, let me tell you some interesting facts related to space stuff.
Okay, do you know Neil Armstrong had a daughter who died at the age of two? That low point of his life somewhere gave him the strength to become the first person to land on the moon.
Also, do you know that before the Apollo 11 mission (the one in which Neil Armstrong went), a manned mission happened before in which Neil Armstrong was sent with one more astronaut? The mission was named Gemini. It was supposed to land humans on the moon for the first time. But, the mission failed midway and they had to return back to the earth after getting into the earth's orbit because they lost control.
I already discussed the challenger mission yesterday, and it was a disappointing one. A total of 12 humans landed on the moon in successive Apollo missions. Before humans, animals too were sent into space, some survived while some died. But, it all was really interesting. Just imagine the feeling of stepping on the moon. Something which we see only in the sky from this planet.
I want this to be more interesting, so I'm attaching real footage of the first and the last moon landings. Watch them, see how exciting it was. Also, see the difference between the first one and the last one.
