Burnouts!
Today I woke up at around 8 in the morning. I had a test, so I remained on my desk from 9am to 12 noon straight without getting up. Then, my best friend came to my house, and so we met after a long time. Then I had a really good lunch and then enjoyed some episodes of my favorite sitcom. Afterward, I took the usual study sessions, and now I'm writing this blog. You must be wondering how boring my day was. Right? But, for me, it was kind of a fine day. In fact, it was a better day than the last two days, where I was feeling too anxious. And that is why, for the last two days, I didn't write anything of my own.
Also, for the last three months, I didn't go for any outings, and for the last five months, I didn't go for any holidays. So, now I feel like I should go for an outing someday soon. Though, this is not the right time for planning holidays that is why a one-day outing would be great for me.
Well, this is something that happens with everyone. When we are doing something continuously without any breaks for months then we reach a saturation point called burn out where we feel like we do not have any more energy left to continue that task. And then, we should take a pause. To overcome burnout, one should take a week off from the usual routine and maybe can plan a trip or something different from the usual schedule. And, if you're a highly productive person, I can bet that a week is more than enough to overcome your burnout. In a few days, you'll yourself start feeling like you should now complete your tasks and boost your productivity. You'll start missing what you're working on. And that is why taking a pause from the usual routine is important. This is the reason, many people plan vacations. In fact, many organizations provide paid vacations to their employees so that they can boost their productivity in order to boost the organization's growth.
So, I just want to say, if you ever feel like this, then take a break, call your friends, and plan for an outing or something like that. It will work very well.
