Extra-curriculars
Hey!
Yesterday I was so tired that I slept very deep, so deep that I couldn't even hear my alarm in the morning. I didn't realize when my alarm rang and went off. But, it was a peaceful and satisfying sleep. Also, it proves that I was badly tired and that is why yesterday's blog was not good at all and I already told you.
Anyways, it had been a productive day today. I completed almost everything on my to-do list and now I'm feeling great. This is the best feeling ever when you complete all your tasks for the day and can then enjoy whatever you want without any worries of pending tasks. So, I will try my best to finish this blog too before 9pm so that I can chill after that.
Today, I'm gonna share with you all about Muskan Ahuja, currently pursuing her Ph.D. from IIT Delhi. Why I want to share about her because she is doing extraordinarily. She maintained a 10 CGPA in her B.Tech. and at the same time, she plays Basketball at the state level, is in the Dance club, and goes to the gym as well. And the most interesting part is that her score in academics was so excellent that she got to enroll directly into Ph.D. without doing M.Tech. And, the secret to her success is that she involves herself in as many co-curricular as she can.
Now, I want you all to know the importance of living in the moment. Most of us think that we should skip the enjoyment part and do only the hard work so that we can enjoy it later in life. But, this is not a fair deal. When we are in college, we think that we should complete this degree and then after getting that dream job will enjoy life. And when we get that dream job, we think that we should just wait for that promotion and after that, we will enjoy life and in this way, half of life gets over. Also, we do not get to enjoy it much later.
All of us have ups and downs in our work or studies, and to uplift our mood we should indulge ourselves in some activities which we enjoy, be it dancing, singing, sports, any sort of hobbies, anything. Also, indulging in co-curricular improves our time management skills. And these are not just words, these are real-life examples. Even, I have experienced this. There came a time when I had quit everything and used to only study for 12-13 hours a day, but my performance in academics was not really good. Also, my health deteriorated. And then I got back to my usual not more than 8 hours a day study plan with fixed timings for some activities which I enjoy, and my score almost doubled.
So, I just want you to know that if you feel like your life is getting dull then it's time to add some enjoyment. Stop postponing enjoyment, and add it to your schedule because it builds character and improves life. And most importantly, start living in the moment.
And that is why they always say, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy".
(Hurray! I finished this before 9 pm.)
Have a great day!
