Planner
Two days ago I planned for this week and in that plan, there was a plan for my workout as well. In that workout plan, I almost doubled the reps of each exercise and doubled the intensity of cardio as well. I did this because I was not observing any progress in my physique. Though I made these modifications without thinking much on that day but today while beginning the workout, it seemed challenging. Somehow I managed to do the first few exercises with complete reps as planned. After that, it felt as if I wouldn't be able to complete total reps in my further exercises. Now, as I proceeded, there was something in my mind that even though I managed to complete the first few exercises with complete reps but if I will not complete the further workout with the planned number of reps then it won't count for this day. And this thing pushed me so hard that I finished my complete workout with the number of reps I planned. It was challenging, but it was rewarding. I felt very energized and pumped up after the session.
I have a planner, in which I plan my weeks and track my days. I made a plan for this week as well. And in that plan I made a section for the workout checklist for each day I planned. So, I had this thing too in my mind that if I'll not completely finish the planned workout then I wouldn't be able to put a green tick on my today's workout checkbox. And that something which could demotivate anyone.
So, today I realized the power of planning and how it can improve consistency. Though, I always plan things systematically but this time I planned in such a manner that it contributed to my consistency. Now, I suggest you all to keep a planner and start planning and tracking things in a such a manner. Trust me green ticks on checkboxes without missing even one looks very beautiful. And it's not just about some beautiful pages. It will add value to your life and a character to your routine. Just trust me.
Have a great day!
