Stop playing the blame game!
Though the curve is going down still the nation has witnessed the worst. To date, there have been around 2.5 lakh deaths due to COVID-19. And this is not the worst part, the worst part is that a high number of deaths could have been avoided if the healthcare system wouldn't have failed to work properly. And those avoidable deaths are still continuing and will keep on if this system remains as it is.
In Uttar Pradesh, around 700 teachers on duty in the UP Panchayat polls died. They had no other option because the government ordered them to do so. And if they had denied then they could have lost their jobs. And in this way, though they managed to save their jobs but failed to save their lives.
On one hand, hospitals are providing false data that they have vacant beds and supplies even though they are running short of them, just for the sake of their reputation. On the other, the government is not taking any actions nor steps to verify the data and make the needs fulfilled.
Now, the question arises, whom to be blamed? When I look out for the opinion of the media, the journalists are blaming the government and political leaders. When I see political leaders, they are blurting out their own imaginary views that the nation is fighting well against the disease, as if they are from a different world. And when I see the people, they are just criticizing other people. Everyone is trying to find a reason to play this blame game. No one is talking about important things. No one is focusing on finding ultimate solutions to the problems in this scenario. No one is talking about the families who lost their loved ones.
I never imagined that things will go this wrong one day. This is the time when the nation should stand together as one. There are many people and communities who are helping the people in need at this time not just financially but morally and socially as well. But as I told you, no one is talking about them.
I don't think I need to write any more about this. It's just, for those who claim to hold power, this is the time to stop playing the blame game and start working on the issues of ultimate concern.
Have a great day!
