Trying to be real in this virtual world

Today I just attended a webinar on communication in the virtual world. The speaker was Ms. Kamitha Jairaj, Lab Engagement lead at IBM India. In this webinar, she just told us about the ways we can make communication more effective and distinguishable. It was a great webinar and I am being thankful to her for that. Now, during the webinar, I just realized that all the things she was talking about are already known to me. And still, I sometimes feel that I'm useless.

Anyways, communication in the virtual world is something we should all know about. Because at this time everything is happening virtually. Also, I know very well that nobody likes these online classes and meetings. Well, my personal reason why I don't like them is that the way they are being organized and presented is not interesting at all. See, the people who are conducting them were never friendly with the technology and suddenly there were told to adapt to this virtual normal. And it led to disastrous outcomes. Still, I appreciate all those teachers and professors and everyone who are putting effort to adapt to the technology. And if someone makes fun of them then it's not a good thing at all.

The next thing I want to write about is trying out new things. For the past few days, I have been trying my hands-on music-making. Well, it's a fun thing to do. You can mix multiple songs, you can add your own beats, and a lot more. I just want to convey the fact that trying out and learning new things opens up new areas of our brain. I have learned many skills and every time I indulged myself in any of those for the first time, I felt as if a hidden room in my brain opened.  So, in this time of being stuck at home, try out new things. It will not only open up your capabilities but will also kill the boredom and tiredness you're getting after being in this virtual world for so long.

Have a great day!
